ANCIENT EGYPTIAN ART
Ancient Egyptian Art started around 5000 B.C.E to around 300 C.E . They have a very traditional way of painting and sculpting, below are some pictures and examples of there fine art work.
ANCIENT ROMAN ART
Ancient Roman Art started around 500B.C.E because the Romans used to copy the Etruscans Art which is another civilisation. Then at around 200 B.C.E they took over ancient Greece and copied there art they even made Greek sculptors slaves to make art for them.
COMPARISON
In these pictures you can see how these civilisations art are similar but yet in some way different. Ancient Rome art was influenced by many different civilisations even Egypt, but Egyptian art however originated from its own civilisation. The styles they used were both very different Ancient Egypt put there paintings on tombs to hope there was an afterlife and a safe travel into heaven. Ancient Rome used there art for decoration and making there homes look classy and stylish by putting the art work on walls. From my point of view it seems like both of them made more sculptors rather then paintings, colours used from both civilisations are mostly brown and some orange or yellow, in the end these civilisations art are unique but sort of resembling the same style, well thats probably because ancient Rome was influenced a little bit by ancient Egypt.
